COURT REPORTERS

To make a request, please provide the case number(s) and date(s) of the hearing. This information can be found on the Maryland Judiciary Case Search website  (http://casesearch.courts.state.md.us/inquiry/inquiry-index.jsp).

The cost of a transcript is as follows:

An estimate and payment information will be provided by the court reporter providing the transcription service.

Audio CD’s
Please note - that audio CDs from the digital recording system will not be available for all hearings. Once a request is submitted, the court reporters’ office will determine if an audio CD may be available.

Our Court Reporting staff can produce a CD (playable on computers with Windows 98 or higher). CDs are made from the original master recording; duplication is strictly prohibited. They are not certified for court use; they are provided for verification of testimony only. They may not be used as the official court record in place of a transcript. In addition, only transcripts prepared and certified by this Court’s court reporters are deemed official and can be admitted as evidence. Any broadcast of these proceedings is strictly prohibited.

CDs can only be played using a computer – the software necessary to listen to the digital recording is included on the CD.

                  
Please have exact cash, check or money order (made payable to  “Cecil County Treasurer”) for all audio CDs.

A deposit or payment in full may be required before initiating any service.
