Hon. Stephen H. Kehoe,
County Administrative Judge

Judge Stephen H. Kehoe received an A.B. from Duke University in English in 1980. He received a J.D. from the Thomas Backus School of Law, Case Western Reserve University, in 1986. He was admitted to Maryland Bar in December 1986. He spent his career as a lawyer with the firm of Ewing, Dietz, Fountain & Kehoe, P.A., He is a member of the American Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association and Talbot County Bar Association, 1987, for which he served as President in 2014.

He served as President, Talbot County Community Housing Resource Board, 1989-92; President, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Upper Shore, Inc., 1992 (member, 1990-93); Kidworks, Inc., 1993. He was a member of the Board of Directors, Talbot County Family Support Center, Inc., 1996-2006 (president, 2002).

Judge Kehoe was a member, Talbot County Mental Health, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Advisory Committee from 1988-93. He served on the Regional Advisory Committee to
Mid-Shore Mental Health Systems, Inc., from 2003-2007, and the Board of Directors for Mid­ Shore Mental Health Systems from 2008-2014, serving as president from 2011-2014.

During his career as a lawyer he served as Town Attorney for the Town of Trappe, 1995-98; Centreville, 2004-14; Denton, 2009-13.  He also represented the Easton Board of
Zoning Appeals, 1989-93; the Talbot County Department of Social Services, 1995-99; the Board of Zoning Appeals, Queen Anne's County, 2004-14.

Prior to being appointed to the Bench, Judge Kehoe served on the Board of Trustees, Office of Public Defender, 2013-14, and he participated as a Mentor in the Court of Appeals Mentoring Program, 2011-12.  He also worked as a Member, Aging Lawyers Subcommittee, Maryland Professionalism Center, 2013-2014.

Judge Kehoe has been a Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation since 2006.
