The Judicial Institute of Maryland was established in 1981 by the Court of Appeals of Maryland as the entity responsible for developing and conducting continuing judicial education programs for the Maryland judiciary. Today, the Judicial Institute is responsible for the continuing education of over five hundred judges and masters serving at all levels of the Maryland court system.
