Prince George’s County Courthouse in Upper Marlboro Closed

 

(UPPER MARLBORO, Md. – February 22, 2015) The Prince George’s County Courthouse in Upper Marlboro will be closed to the public on Monday, February 23.

Because the courthouse is closed, no trials are being held in either the District Court or Circuit Court in Upper Marlboro. The Hyattsville location (4990 Rhode Island Avenue) of the District Court will be open, and District Court bond hearings will be held there at 1:15 p.m. All new domestic violence petitions can be filed at the Hyattsville courthouse.

Circuit Court bond hearings will be held at the Prince George’s County detention center at 11:00 a.m. The Circuit Court Judiciary Services Building and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Unit located in the County Administration Building will be open during regular business hours to serve the public.

Crews are continuing to work at the Upper Marlboro courthouse to repair damage and restore power. It is not known when repairs will be completed. Court employees are asked to contact their supervisors for additional instructions.
