| Mitchell Courthouse Odor Being Investigated (Baltimore, MD – April 21, 2005) Baltimore City’s Department of General Services(DGS) reported to Administrative Judge Marcella A. Holland that there was no evidence that the unpleasant odor in the courthouse was a result of dead mice or rats. An inspection found no current sewer or water leaks. Blaine Lipsky, the DGS building manager assigned to the courthouses, detected an odor in the reception area of the grand jury room on the second floor of the Mitchell Courthouse. He proposed having the carpets cleaned and walls washed starting Friday evening. They will do everything they can to mediate this matter and hope to have it resolved by the time court personnel return to work on Monday. Questions should be directed to Mr. Lipsky at (410) 396-3702.
