The Library, a unit of the Maryland Judiciary, serves the needs of Maryland's people and government by: building and preserving collections of legal information resources, promoting access to these collections, and creating educational opportunities that enhance the understanding of legal information.
The Mission Statement was approved by the State Law Library Committee on June 29, 2026.
