DC-CV-081 and CC-CV-081 - Petitions for Warrant of Restitution - Revised
The Petitions for Warrant of Restitution (DC-CV-081 and CC-CV-081) have been revised to implement local Anne Arundel County Bill No. 101-25. This update reflects the new eviction notice and post-eviction requirements applicable in Anne Arundel County.
In Anne Arundel County only, effective July 1, 2026:
- At least 14 days before the scheduled eviction date set by the Sheriff's Office, the landlord shall provide notice of the eviction to the tenant, in accordance with County Code and in the form and manner prescribed by Real Property § 8-407.
- In accordance with § 1-13-104 of the County Code, at the time of eviction, the landlord shall change the locks on the dwelling unit in the presence of the Sheriff.
- 24 hours after the execution of the eviction (i.e., after the locks are changed), the landlord may remove or dispose of any abandoned personal property remaining in or about the dwelling with no further notice to the tenant, in accordance with County Code, § 1-13-104(d).
