Anne Arundel County District Court to host high school students for the
Schools in the Court program

 

Approximately 140 high school students from Anne Arundel County will be in court on Thursday, Feb. 15, to learn about the legal and financial consequences of making poor decisions. Students from Northeast, Severna Park, and Southern high schools will take part in the Schools in the Court program at the Anne Arundel County District Court in Annapolis.

WHO: Anne Arundel County District Judge Shaem C.P. Spencer, presiding

WHAT: District Court of Maryland in Anne Arundel County’s Schools in the Court program. Students will witness court proceedings, hear directly from people who have been adversely affected by poor choices, such as drunk driving, speeding, and texting while driving, and meet members of the Maryland State Police K-9 squad.

WHEN: Thursday, Feb. 15, at 8:30 a.m.

WHERE: Courtroom 1, Anne Arundel County District Court, 251 Rowe Blvd., Annapolis
