Submitting an Invoice

In order to receive compensation as an appointed attorney, you must submit an invoice to the Commissioner on-duty, in person, immediately at the completion of the shift. The Commissioner on-duty will sign the invoice and can provide a copy, if requested. The invoice will be forwarded to the Managing or Administrative Commissioner for processing.

In designated counties, if you are scheduled and the Commissioner calls to advise there are no hearings, and you do not respond for any hearings during the scheduled time, mail your invoice to the Administrative Commissioner for the minimum amount, within three (3) days. (The Appointed Attorney Coordinator will notify you if scheduled for a designated county.)

See the Directory of Commissioner Stations for names of Administrative Commissioners and location information.
