The Civil Law Center is open on the first three Tuesdays of each month from 9 am - 12 pm. - by appointment. When you arrive at the courthouse, please check in at the Law Library & Legal Resource Center, located on the first floor. The Civil Law Center is located in the Law Library in the Circuit Court. An attorney will provide free legal assistance in civil non-domestic matters to walk-in visitors. Some areas of the law that are civil include landlord/tenant, contracts, small claims, advance medical directives, expunging records and homeowner association disputes. Visitors must be self-represented and have low income to qualify for service.
