About Juvenile and Family Services (JFS) is a program of the Administrative Office of the Courts. We collaborate with the Maryland courts, legal organizations, and other stakeholders to advance initiatives that benefit Maryland’s families, youth, and juveniles. Our work includes providing grants to support family, child welfare, and juvenile programs, and providing training to courts and organizations for skill enhancement.

Vision That every child and family in Maryland has access to fair, efficient, effective, and timely justice.

Mission To provide Maryland’s juvenile and family law judges, magistrates, court staff, attorneys, related agencies, and non-profit partners with information, technical assistance, and resources to improve the experiences and outcomes for the children and families who interact with Maryland’s court system.
