In response to the Omicron variant surge, effective Wednesday, December 29, 2021, the Circuit Court for Queen Anne's County reduced operations and reverted to Phase III. The interim operational plan has been extended through March 6, 2022 pending further order. Welcome to the Circuit Court for Queen Anne’s County. In the State of Maryland, the judicial branch of government consists of four levels of courts, two trial and two appellate. The Circuit Court for Queen Anne’s County hears major civil cases and more serious criminal matters, along with juvenile cases and most appeals from the District Court, Orphans’ Court and administrative agencies. If a party in a District Court civil or criminal case requests a jury trial, those cases are heard by the Circuit Court under certain circumstances.

Many persons participate each day in various types of legal matters at the court house – citizens, litigants, jurors. The work of the court touches lives and protects the rights of all.
