Congratulations on your recent appointment as a law clerk with the Maryland Judiciary! All Maryland State employees must begin employment at the beginning of a pay period which is always on a Wednesday. Please plan accordingly with the chambers you are joining. To ensure you are able to start in a timely manner, please review the onboarding processes provided below.
Pre-employment Forms
The incoming law clerk must complete the online job application by following the instructions provided below:
- Visit https://mdcourts.gov/careers
- Click Find Your New Career at the bottom of the page
- Search for Job Opening 13165 in Keywords Section
- Apply to Law Clerk (Continuous Job Opening)
Failure to complete the above steps will result in a delay in employment processing and/or start date.
Onboarding Sessions
Each Judiciary law clerk must attend the onboarding session on the official start date. During the sessions, Human Resources will review employment policies, payroll, and benefits available to State employees. Information Security Administration and Compliance will also review security and compliance for the judicial information systems.
You will receive an invitation from [email protected] for a remote onboarding session lasting approximately 90 minutes on your first day. Please report to your usual work location unless you are instructed otherwise.
